How Will We Pay For The Building?
The parish is conducting the Capital Campaign ~ “Building Faith, Family & Future” ~ that seeks
three-year financial commitments in order to build the facilities.
When Will Construction Begin?
It is estimated that $3.5 million is the minimum needed to construct the building without fixtures or furnishings. A General Assembly will be convened for approval to begin construction once the funding is raised.
What Does $5 Million Accomplish?
$5,000,000 is the estimated cost to completely build and supply all furnishings and finishes.
What Are The Construction Costs Based Upon?
The Building Committee consulted with contractors and estimated construction costs to be $250 per sq. ft. at the high end.
What Will It Cost To Operate The New MultiPurpose Facilities?
The Building Committee estimates an additional $60,000 in the Operational Budget for utilities, maintenance, insurance and staff.
What If Not Enough Funds Are Obtained To Break Ground?
At the May 4, 2014, General Assembly, the parish approved moving ahead with a $5,000,000 budget with the following stipulation:
That following the Capital Campaign, if funds are deficient, the Parish Council would recommend for approval to the General Assembly one of the following options or some alternative solution:
A. Alter the Master Plan
B. Conduct a second Capital Campaign
C. Consider debt financing options subject to approval by General Assembly
How Will The Community Center Be Used?
• Hosting charity fundraising events like the
Camp Agape Ball
• Community Feast Day celebrations
• Greek festivals, glendis and the “SpiritFest”
• Wedding and baptism receptions
• Hosting retreats, conferences and adult
religious education events

Will I Be Pressured To Make A Commitment?
No. Participation in the campaign and how much you give will be entirely up to you. All members and guests will be given the opportunity to contribute if they wish to do so.
If I Can’t Give A Large Amount, Does My Commitment Really Matter?
Absolutely! All commitments matter, regardless of amount, because as we all participate according to our ability, God multiplies our giving.
When Are We Expected To Give The Amount Committed?
Commitment Cards will be turned in on Sunday, February 22, 2015, and then the giving toward fulfillment of commitments begins.
What Forms Of Contributions Will Be Accepted?
Contributions can be made by cash or check. Other forms of contribution can include the transference of title to marketable stocks, bonds,real estate, etc.
